Fusing biometrics with other investigative data to improve performance and achieve advanced functionality
The proliferation of smart phones and social media has resulted in an explosion of data that is extremely valuable towards crime investigation. But in order for the data to be useful, we must be able to 1) organize it as "identity-centric", and 2) definitively associate it with particular human beings. This presentation will introduce how "identity resolution" and biometrics are increasingly powerful investigative tools, which when used in concert help us leverage "digital forensic data" towards more effective crime investigation.
